PSYCHOTHERAPY
Psychotherapy is a scientifically proven and effective method of treating mental disorders. It helps change deeply ingrained patterns of behavior, thinking, and feeling. We recommend this form of help if you experience symptoms of anxiety, depression, or other mental problems. Psychotherapy is also indicated for people whose current problems have roots in a difficult past. If you are dealing with the consequences of trauma, your problems have been with you for a long time, or they recur in a certain pattern, psychotherapy will help most effectively.
This includes if:
- Your emotional states prevent you from functioning normally in daily life.
- You are too critical of yourself.
- You are constantly anxious.
- You have experienced a traumatic event.
- You cannot cope with memories.
- You have relationship problems.
- You are unable to establish a lasting relationship.
- You have sexual problems.
- You suffer from sleep disorders.
- You feel pain or discomfort in your body that is not caused by a physical illness.
The course of therapy is tailored to the client’s needs. The first visits are consultative-diagnostic: their goal is to identify the client’s problem (and its source), determine whether a particular form of help is most suitable, and clarify therapy goals.
